Title: Cell Programming at IBM Research. 

Abstract: This presentation will summarize the various Cell
programming projects on-going at IBM Research, IBMs plans for the
future of the Cell tool chain and will include information on methods
for additional collaboration.

Bio: Michael Perrone is the manager of the Cell Solutions Department
at IBM Research which has the goal of identifying high-affinity
workloads for the Cell Processor and demonstrating performance
improvements via developing Cell solutions.  Current projects include
HPC, seismic, digital content creation, rich media mining, image
analysis, speech recognition and bioinformatics.  His research
includes algorithmic optimization for the Cell processor, parallel
computing and statistical machine learning.  He received his PhD in
Physics from Brown University
