I am a third-year Ph.D. student in Computational Science and Engineering at the
College of Computing,
Georgia Institute of Technology.
My research interests are machine learning and scalable data mining methods for the analysis and modeling of real world networks and processes over them. I'm thrilled to work in an outstanding group doing top-notch Machine Learning research under supervision of Prof. Zha and Prof. Song.
I also collaborate closely with Manuel Gomez Rodriguez from MPI-SWS.
Prior to joining Georgia Tech I received my M.Sc. from Computer Engineering Department at Sharif University of Technology under supervision of Prof. Rabiee and my B.Sc. from the same university in Software Engineering.

In Fall 2015 and Spring 2016 I served as Community Outreach Chair of the Irannian Student Association at Georgia Tech. We held several events for the Iranian student community at Atlanta such as Book Clubs, Movie Nights, Cultural Nights, Yalda and Norooz ceremoneies, Music and Poetry Nights.
In Fall 2014 and Spring 2015 I'm coordinating a study group on Poisson processes.
I'm in love with persian traditional music. I enjoy masterpieces by Mohammad Reza Shajarian , Shahram Nazeri , Hossein Alizadeh , Keyhan Kalhor , Mohammadreza Lotfi and many others who let me understand the beauty of art.
I'd like to spend my time in Nature as much as possible. Back in Iran I did a lot of hiking, mountain climbing, camping, etc. We've conquered Mount Damavand , and Mount Sabalan , the first and the third highest peaks in Iran, respectively. I love being in nature since it reminds me of myself!
I read novels, watch movies and series, play volleyball, do sports, whenever I'm a little free from research.
And last but not least, I enjoy spending time with Sahar and my friends, talking, playing games, socializing, etc.
