This video demonstrates 4 robots using role-switching in a mine-clearing scenario.

At 0:05 for 4 sec,  "Robots in Foraging Role: ..."

Two of the robots are initially in the forager role, clearing mines from the discovered patch.

At 0:10 for 5 sec, Enemy Robot (red) approaches from the right

When an enemy approaches from the right, these two robots stop foraging and change to the soldier role for protection.

0:17 for 7 sec,  Immediately Following
Unfortunately, one of the soldier robots "dies" during the intercept.  Two other robots change to the mechanic role to lend assistance.

0:25 for 5 sec,  Robot starts moving again.

Once the robot is fixed, and the other environmental stimuli have disappeared, the robots resume the forage role.
