Description

The goal of this project is to provide perceptual support for an inspection robot capable of monitoring drums containing low-level nuclear waste. Two subtasks are involved. The first studies the use of ultrasonic data for model-based drum localization and recognition. The second involves the use of laser stripe data for blister and dent recongition on the surface of drums.
