Where is my Web directory?

Your Web directory is a directory owned by you on some machine that runs a Web server and allows visitors access to that directory via a URL.

Everyone at Georgia Tech has a Web directory in their prism (acme) account.

Login to acme.
Create a directory called public_html in your home directory.
Make sure it is publicly readable.

That's it. The URL for your Web directory is
http://www.prism.gatech.edu/~USER/
where USER is your login name on acme.

Some groups make other Web directories available to their faculty and/or students. If you're a member of LCC, ISyE (CHMSR), GVU, AI, or CoC, you probably have another Web directory as well. Ask.

Put your index.html, BIO, etc., files in your Web directory, and send the URL of your Web directory to Ashwin Ram. (See "How to add info".)
