List of courses for breadth in AI
If you choose Artificial Intelligence as one of your breadth areas, you will
need to take one or two courses in this area. CS6361 is appropriate as the
first breadth course, and all 7000 level "core" courses are appropriate as
the second breadth course:
Petitioning for breadth in AI from other institutions
Students who have taken AI courses at other institutions may petition to have
these courses count towards breadth in AI. A petition must include a course
syllabus and list of textbooks used for the course. If the course is more or
less equivalent to one of our courses, the petition is approved and the
course can be counted in lieu of the equivalent course. If the course is not
equivalent to any of our courses, but yet covers a reasonable range of topics
in AI, the petition may be approved at the discretion of the AI area
coordinator.
