Locating a paper or book
Papers and books are located outside room 389 in the Centennial Research
Building (CRB).
Borrowing
is restricted to students and faculty involved in our Cognitive Science
program, but many papers are available to everyone via anonymous ftp through
the College.
Once you locate something of interest, look at the field labelled "%L", this
shows the location of the document. There are three types of locations:
- Books Locations beginning with a B (e.g., B222) are located on the
bookshelves and are ordered sequentially by location number.
- Papers Locations beginning with a letter other than B (e.g., K2222)
are papers, located in the filing cabinets against the wall. Papers are also
ordered sequentially by number, ignore the initial letter.
- On-line material Many papers written by faculty and students in the
Cognitive Science Group are available electronically, either from the College
of Computing's anonymous ftp server or directly from the author(s). The
locations of these documents are clickable URL's which will either retrieve
the document directly or allow you to send mail to the contact author to
request a copy.
