Welcome

Welcome to the Aquatic Propulsion Lab at Georgia Tech. You can learn more about this project using the above links.

Objective

The objective of the APL project is to provide scientists, students, and engineers with interactive tools for designing and optimizing propulsion strategies that either mimic those exhibited by existing aquatic creatures or model new envisioned man-made propulsion mechanisms for a variety of engineering, scientific, or medical applications.

Organization

APL holds weekly meetings at Georgia Tech for local faculty (co-PIs and other participants) and students. Remote collaborators from USC and NVIDIA participate in the meetings through Skype connections. The meeting agenda includes presentation of results, planning and coordination of research, review of prior art, and occasional presentations by team members or guest speakers.
