Grades are posted on the Grades Page.
Grading for this class is broken down in the following way -
Letter grades are assigned according to the usual convention
(A = 90+, B = 80-89, C = 70-79, D = 60-69, F below 60).
I believe it's only fair to know a fair amount of your grade by the drop
date (Friday October 1). To this end, I will make every attempt to have
around 50% of your grades for the semester back to you by then. Having
said this, you must be prompt in turning things in and asking for
re-grades, so we have time to do the grading. I can only help you if you
help me.
Assuming a reasonable attempt at a program, program grades will be
based 50% on design documentation and 50% on meeting project
requirements. Design Documentation must
meet class requirements. No late assignments will be accepted.
Attendance in lecture is mandatory. Lab sections are an excellent time
to get help.
Since this is a college class, and we are all adults, I believe that
everything in class can be up for discussion, including the
grading policy or times for assignments. However, I also reserve the
right to unilaterally make a decision because I want to.
Regrading:
If you submit something that the TA can't fileIn, she or he will alert
you by email. You will have 24 hours to respond to the request with a
file that DOES fileIn. If you do not respond, or if the new file does
not fileIn, the TA will grade the file by-hand (her/his best guess as
to whether it could have possibly worked) for no more than 10% of the
grade.
