News Page
News will arrive here as it, well, arrives.
- 8/23/99 - Welcome to CS 2803!
- 8/23/99 - For turning in code, we will initially be using email. To
do this, send the code as the body of your message and your name, the
assignment, and your section as the subject (ie - Rodney Walker, Lab
1, Section A). If you want to make sure this was received, you can
always put your address in the "cc:" field. Do NOT send your file
as an attachment.
- 8/23/99 - Labs 0 and 1 go together, and are both an intro to Squeak.
We want you to get comfortable with the system and how to move around
in it. It is suggested that you really spend a fair amount of time
getting comfortable with these.
- 8/23/99 - I will be gone the following dates this semester:
8/24-8/27, 9/2-9/6, 10/14-10/19
- 8/25/99 - Don't forget class is cancelled today.
- 8/28/99 - I heard that the textbooks should be in the bookstore sometime
either on or after Thursday.
- 8/28/99 - Lab 0 had an error in it. This has been fixed.
- 8/30/99 - Change to class schedule. Moving assignment 1 back a day.
Also, making slight change due to textbooks not being in yet.
- 8/31/99 - Found another error in lab 0 - there is no
ButtonMorph.st file. Really sorry about any confusion on this.
- 8/31/99 - Guess what...we're already behind. I might have to make
class last a little longer the next couple of times in order to try to
catch up.
- 8/31/99 - Don't forget that there's no lab on Monday. We'll have to
figure out what to do with that. And in talking about lab, we are aware
of and working to remedy the problem with people not having access to the
states machines. And we should a Linux version of Squeak installed in the
states cluster by the end of this week.
- 9/8/99 - Don't forget that lab 2 is due on Thursday 9/9, not
Wednesday 9/8.
- 9/8/99 - We talked in class last week and you guys said you didn't
want to move the Monday lab to Wednesday. Remember - this was your
decision, not mine.
- 9/13/99 - CoWeb is back up and running! Sorry it was down for a large
chunk of the weekend. Why has no one logged in and made themselves a page
off the Who's Who page yet?
- 9/13/99 - Don't forget that A1 due date has been extended until Wed.
- 9/15/99 - Also don't forget that midterm is next Wed (9/22)
- 9/15/99 - Changed info for labs - should now be up by Friday afternoons
- 9/17/99 - Midterm Review is up! Go to http://pbl.cc.gatech.edu/cs2390/1550.html.
- 9/17/99 - Have also created a discussion page for assignment 2. It's
at http://pbl.cc.gatech.edu/cs2390/1557.html
- 9/20/99 - Lab 1 and 2 grades are up for both sections. Check yours
out, and talk to your TA if you think something is wrong.
- 9/20/99 - No lab this week. I think that's only fair if we have the
midterm on Wednesday.
- 9/26/99 - Midterm, A1, and Lab 3 grades are all up on the Grades page.
- 9/27/99 - If you are going to take the extension for this assignment,
remember that everything is due by class time on Wednesday, 9/29.
- 10/2/99 - Note: I have added another date range (10/14-10/19) to when
I will be gone this semester. With fall break being 10/18 and 10/19, this
won't affect any classes.
- 11/1/99 - Remember final is this Wednesday. Review up on CoWeb at xxx.
- 11/1/99 - Remember that latest grades are up on the grades page.
That's what I have - don't ask me if it's not there.
