Graduating Seniors:
You have the option to take the final exam and improve your semester grade.
The final exam can only improve your grade; it will not decrease your grade
for the semester.
Final Semester Grade calculations
Graduating Seniors:
Your semester grade will be calculated by weighting Exam 1 = 20%, Exam
2 = 25%, and Project = 30%. This total will be normalized to 100% (by multiplying
the total score by 1.33). The result will be a number between 0 and 4.
Generally, >3.5 would receive an A. between 2.5 and 3.5 will receive
a B etc. Note that the instructor holds the right to adjust the grade based
on other factors in individual circumstances (such as feedback from members
of group, drastic variations in grades on exams etc.)
All other students:
Your semester grade will be calculated by weighting Exam 1 = 20%, Exam
2 = 25%, Final Exam = 25%, and Project = 30%. The result will be
a number between 0 and 4.
