In addition to the required textbooks, there are a number of supplemental readings which will be distributed during the course. This page lists these readings. Papers not available on-line will be handed out in class.

• Stuard Card, Thomas Moran and Allen Newell. The Psychology of Human-Computer Interaction, Lawrence Erlbaum, 1983.
  We will be reading a short excerpt from the beginning of this classic book that details some performance characteristics of the perceptual, motor and cognitive subsystems of humans.
