NEWtrition: A "health tracking system". An interactive portable system targeted as a wellness service to monitor, record, and facilitate diet intake, vitamins and medication, and exercise programs for healthy living.

Palm Waiting: Palm Waiting is a sepcialized hand-held computing device that is designed for the waiter/waitress working in a restaurant. It will simplify their daily tasks and make your restaurant experience an efficient and interesting one.

The IAN (InterActive Notebook): A mobile device that helps people organize, exchange, consolidate and present information and ideas in the classroom.

Right of Way: Personal Destination Routing System: Develop a user interface to communicate to the driver of an automobile the best route from the current location to a given destination.

Active Art: Museums can use Active Art, an interactive, hand-held computing device, to educate museum viewers about current exhibits and to gather data from viewers which can be used to improve educational programming and fundraising efforts.

Future Dining: The Future Dining project seeks to make dining more enjoyable by providing restaurant customers and employees with a wealth of valuable personalized information. We envision a future where people are able to easily make informed dining decisions, such as the choice of a dinner wine, that are consistent with their personal preferences and/or those of their dining companions. Our group is exploring the use of interactive visual interfaces, on-line databases, and collaborative filtering techniques to achieve our goals.

WildPilot: Handheld device with screen display that can show information on various things that campers may be happy to know while in the wilderness. Things such as maps, current position, various first aid advices, and wild life information will be available on this device.

WebCaster: To develop a computer interface that enables single users to broadcast audio content over the Internet including, but not limited to CD, DVD, Voice, Computer Files, Phone, TV, Radio, and other analog and digital sound.

CS 6750 Section B

Buzz Quest: Buzz Quest is an interactive navigational tool for Georgia Tech campus. It will assist all levels of individuals including visually, auditory and mobility impaired persons. It will also help people with no disability at all to get from point A to point B. It will be an alternative to the traditional campus map, especially for those with disabilities.

EDIT: EDIT (Electronic Diabetes Information Tracker) -- A mobile health tracker for the use of parents with kids age 5 - 8 suffering from Type 1 Diabetes or more specifically, Diabetes Mellitus. It monitors various factors responsible for the overall health of the child,eases the burden off the parents' shoulder and provides useful feedback. It also enhances the learning process for parents and the children suffering from this disease.

Hestia: A Family Entertainment System Interface. An interface that coordinates the diverse components of the home entertainment system. This user-friendy interface will allow individual family members to customize the system to meet their needs and preferences.

Lecture Archive Search Engine and Representation (LASER): Since Classroom 2000 has been around for awhile, the archive of captured lectures has become rather larger. In this project, we are assuming that there is, or will be, a desire to search across multiple lectures within a course, and across multiple courses. The problem is, how do you create an interface to request this type of search, and how do you represent the results of the search.

Ictus: System in which conductors can practice and receive corresponding aural feedback from a simulated musical ensemble.

The Mechanics: The objective of this study is to identify bus maintenance procedures, tools, and technology insertion opportunities for improved diagnostics and troubleshooting. By improving the diagnostic tools available to the technician, we expect both a reduction in unscheduled maintenance and operating and support costs.

Knight Rider 2K: This project involves designing a system for automobiles that integrates the standard functions of today's automobile with after-market features that are available as well as bring new functionality to the car that is commonly found only in the home and office.

Team Canada: Designing a communications system for firefighters in life threatening crisis situations.
