The Great Race with Tony Curtis, Jack Lemmon, Natalie Wood, Peter Falk
- It's about a Car Race from New York to Paris that has a bar fight in
a Western theme, a car race, a sword fight, a Viennese Waltz scene, a pie
fight, and it's darn funny.

Do you like Wonder Woman?
-
Depends on the Era. Wonder Woman is one of the Golden Age superheros,
circa World War II I think, and one of the first heroines to rate
her own comic book. However, she was never really as interesting
as some of the other heros at the time for some of the same reasons that
make Superman kind of boring. In addition to all that, she was saddled
with a lot of the baggage that women characters had to deal with at the
time. That's why she was usually using her lasso instead of fighting
it out like her male counterparts. A relatively good case in point
was the way that she was portrayed in the cartoons in the 70's - almost
a throwaway character that happened to be female. Around the late
80's and early 90's, when DC comics was changing its image, under new management,
Wonder Woman was reconstructed and became a lot more interesting as a character.
I think my favorite portrayal now is in the recent series Kingdom Come
where she's shown as she should have been portrayed - someone raised in
a warrior society who has a Spartan view, in the traditional Greek sense,
of how the world should be. She provided an interesting contrast
to Superman's Boy Scout morality (leadership by strength of moral certainty)
and Batman's cynical realism (justice can only be enforced by strength
and fear).
Height, Weight, Density - 5'8", 165 lbs, I am very dense.
Did you inhale?
-
I am sorry to report that I am damn boring on this account. Any inhaling
that I did was usually incidental to someone else smoking in an adjacent
room. But I'm happy to say that I have no advice to offer to the
next generation on this matter.
Favorite Color
-
Cobalt Blue (Any kind of dark blue that reflects the edge of night during
twilight).
Biggest Fear
-
Evil question. That I'll be in the situation where I'm called upon
to do something significant that will affect a lot of people's lives and
that I'll fail. Big enough?

What are the important features of the CoC department?
-
The computing network services, accounting, and student services people
are top notch! Treat them well.
Where did you go to high school?
-
Agoura Hills, California - Don't worry if you haven't heard of it.

How long have you been at Georgia Tech?
When did you start TA'ing?
Can you roll your tongue?
-
Yes but I can't trill my 'r's.
Why did you decide to major in Software Engineering?
-
Because I know enough about the real world to know that there are a lot
of challenging problems have to do with building the software efficiently
and well and building the right thing and not just in coming up with next
generation things. Also because it's a lot of fun!
What do you like about Georgia Tech?
-
Not much. This is one of the most awfully designed and engineered
school that I've ever been at. Not just the administration but the
architecture, the infrastructure, and the processes. The student
body is terribly uninteresting as a whole and 90% of the discussions that
you'll dig up around here are technically oriented - good for getting work
done, bad for learning about life and boring.
-
I did like the Fest Center but they've since screwed over the students
by raising the ticket prices to unaffordable levels. Unfortunately,
this is mostly the fault of certain students who bought tickets in large
quantites and scalped them.
What do you like about the College of Computing?
The water fountain on the 2nd floor next to the darts lab.
The stairwell by the darts lab - has the best resonance for playing instruments.
Where did you learn juggling?
-
My mom showed me the basics but I taught myself over 3 months by standing
in a corner and dropping lots of tennis balls - first with two tennis balls
for two months then three tennis balls for one month.
Kung fu skills?
-
4.5 years in Hapkido, 1.5 years in Taekwando, 1 year in Aikido.
How many students can you juggle at one time?
-
Four but they have to be small students.
