Instructions

Congratulations! You've almost made it through 1311x. After all your hard work, now is the
time that you get to voice your opinions about the class. Please truthfully fill out the following
questionnaire about 1311x so that we can make it better next time. Here's how to do it:

   1.Create a new file using a text editor.

   2.Put the answers to the survey in the file, using this format (and ONLY this format):

     [q1]
     answer1

     [q2]
     answer2
     ...

     You get the idea.  Please use square brackets around the question number.  Please put
     your answers on the next line from the question number.

   3.  IF THE QUESTION ASKS FOR AN ANSWER ON A SCALE OF 1 TO 5, just put
        the numeric value, not the entire quote and not personal comments.  There's a section for
        comments at the end of each question section.

   4.Turnin the way you always do.

Lecture:

     1. On a scale of 1 to 5, how helpful were the lectures?
         (5 = couldn't  do without,
          4 = they were pretty good,
          3 = so-so,
          2 = useful occasionally,
          1 = lectures?)

     2. On a scale of 1 to 5, how often did you attend lectures?
         (5 = every time, 4 = most of the time, 3 = some of the time,
          2 = hardly ever, 1 = never)

     3. If you did not attend lecture very often, why did you not attend?

     4. On a scale of 1 to 5, how helpful were the lecture notes?
         (5 = I sleep with a copy under my pillow,
          4 = I get a lot of good  information from them,
          3 = they're ok,
          2 = I only needed them once in a while
          1 = I printed them out and burned them to express my hatred)

     5. On a scale of 1 to 5, how often did you read/look at the lecture notes?
          (5 = daily,
           4 = when they were published,
           3 = once a week,
           2 = just before assignments and tests,
           1 = never)

Book

     7.  On a scale of 1 to 5, how often did you look at the book?
         (5 = I nailed a copy to my ceiling, so it would be the first thing I saw
                every morning
          4 = I read it at least once a week
          3 = I read it whenever Kurt or the Homework Dude would mention
                specific sections
          2 = I think I opened it
          1 = I nailed a copy to my ceiling, because I hate it that much)

     8.  On a scale of 1 to 5, how good was the book?
         (5 = It opened my eyes to whole vistas of Computer Science that I
                never knew existed
          4 = It had some very useful information.
          3 = It kind of had some good information every once in a while
          2 = It didn't really do much of anything for me
          1 = It currently serves as the doorstop to my dorm room)

Office Hours
 
    10.  On a scale of 1 to 5, how often did you attend a TAs office hours?
           (5 = The TA is currently having a restraining order put out against
                   me,
            4 = I went once a week,
            3 = I showed up just before a homework was due or a Test was
                  given,
            2 = I sat down at one of the TA's tables once by accident,
            1 = You couldn't drag me to anyone's office hours if my life or my
                  grade depended on it)

    11.  Did you attend your own TAs office hours?
 
    12.  Outside of questions about Test grading, did you attend other
           TA's office hours?

    13.  On a scale of 1 to 5, how helpful were office hours?
           (5 = They were the only way I could get my homeworks done or
                  prepare for the test,
            4 = I got my questions answered,
            3 = Sometimes I got some use out of them,
            2 = Occasionally I got a glimmer of a clue,
            1 = I could get more help from a rock)
 
    14.  On a scale of 1 to 5, how long did you spend at office hours?
           (5 = I was there before the TA showed up, and asked questions
                  until just about 2 microseconds before office hours were
                  over...if the TA was lucky,
            4 = I stayed for most of the time,
            3 = I was there for a sizeable chunk of time (30 minutes or so)
            2 = I was in and out of there fast...very fast.  Quick like bunny.

Homeworks:

     16. On a scale of 1 to 5, how difficult were the homeworks, overall?
           (5 = HOW THE HECK WERE WE SUPPOSED TO DO THESE,
            4 = they were always pretty hard,
            3 = they were ok, for the most part,
            2 = They were easy, more often than not,
            1 = I did them in my sleep)

     17.  On a scale of 1 to 5, when did you usually start your homeworks? (please be honest, this will not affect your grade)
            (5 = the second they were put up,
             4 = early on in the first week,
             3 = the first weekend,
             2 = the week it was due,
             1 = Thursday (...hey, it was still technically Thursday, ok?))

Tests:

     20. On a scale of 1 to 5, how difficult were the tests,  overall?
           (5 = MY EARS WERE BLEEDING MAN!!  MY HEAD WAS GOING TO EXPLODE!,
            4 = they were difficult,
            3 = they were ok
            2 = they were decently easy,
            1 = I don't know why you gave us an hour and a half to do these things.)
