The purpose of this assignment is to give you the opportunity to provide me with some feedback about the course, and to influence future versions of the course. You are to design an assignment, either a short HW or a project (be sure to indicate which), that could be used in a future offering of the class.

First think about things in the class that you would have liked to have seen emphasized more. Why? Can you design an assignment that would give students more practice/experience in that area? The first part of what you turn in should be a brief discussion of some topic that you think could use more emphasis and why you feel that way.

Next, design an actual assignment. Say whether it is a short homework or a more involved project. For the projects, recall that not everyone in the course is a programmer, so that restricts the possibilities. Then write out the assignment just as I would when deploying it to students in future offerings of the course. Your focus should be on the intellectual matter of the topic and assignment, but also keep in mind the pragmatics of such an assignment. Would students be able to do a reasonable job with it?

I will consider giving extra credit for assignment suggestions that I find particularly interesting and useful, ie, I would likely use them in the future.
