If you haven't already downloaded Emacs, you'll need to get a copy from one of the following
sites:
1312 Release:
This release is the latest available, but there are a few issues (discussed later) with hard coded paths that make running it a little "harder." It WILL run, it just requires a couple extra steps to launch. It has MANY more features than the 1.17 release. Just make sure to get the binary release that does not require you build the program. Emacs 20.4 Install Until we can find a work around for this with AppleScript, this process will have to be done each time you want to use Emacs. It's an excellent distro, so it's worth it. Start by launching Disk Copy again. Next, drag the unmounted Emacs file onto the Disk Copy window. It will mount a disk image on your desktop, ie:
Next double-click the mounted disk image (the one on the right above) that's on your Desktop. Look for the Folder called "Mac" and double click it. You will get a window that looks like this:
