This short tutorial assumes you have a Windows based operating system with 128-bit encryption. If you do not have 128-bit encryption, click => here <= and locate that download.

1) The first thing to do is to open Outlook Express



2) Open the Accounts window by going to Tools and then to Accounts.



3) Create a new news account by going to Add.. and then choose News



4) Type in your name and click next.



5) Type in your email address and click next.



6) Type in the news server as shown below, and click the box for "My news server requires me to log on". Click next.



7) For account name, put in your GT NUMBER, and for Password your GT PASSWORD. Click Next.



8) Click Finish.



9) Now, choose the account under the news tab and click properties.



10) Under the advanced tab, Click the box that says "This server requires a secure connection (SSL)" then click APPLY.



11) Click Yes for the below box.



12) Type in the "Display newsgroups which contain: " box, 'CS1322'. Highlight the 4 newsgroups that popup and click the Subscribe button. Then click OK.



13) You should see the newsgroups on the left, ready for reading.
