Helpful Information About the Project:

See Assignment #4 description for more details.

Each team has its own directory at "/net/ac89/www-db3/classes/AY2002/cs4451_spring/groups/groupX", where X is the group number. This directory can be accessed via the web from the group links above. The first thing you will want to do is create a file "index.html" in your directory to serve as your starting webpage. Look at last year's projects for ideas.

Each team directory has group permissions for members of that team only. In order to use this you will need to get familiar with the 'chgrp' command. The permission group name for group 'X' is c4451tX. For instance, for group 8, you will want to run:
% chgrp c4451t8 filename
for all files in your directory. That way only your group members will be able to modify your files.

The abstract to be turned in by Friday, March 29, 5 p.m.:

Complete and post the project, and send Mitch the web tutorial no later than Monday, April 22, 5 p.m.

~The tutorial must be tarred up in the following manner:
1) All your web pages must be located in a directory labeled by your group number.  Thus, if you are group 8, your directory should be named group8.
2) The starting page for your group should be index.html
3) The name of your tar file should be:   Group_#.tar
where # is your group number.
4) The command should be (if you're group 8) something like:
        tar -cvf Group_8.tar group8/

The class presentation is to be done Tuesday, April 23.

You must submit your grade of the groups between Tuesday, April 23 and Thursday, April 25 at 5 p.m.
