Projects

  • In groups of 3 (or 4).
  • Each member of the group should bring special expertise and contribution to the project.
  • Group members need to be approved by Instructor (and TA).
  • Students can form (propose) their own groups.  Submit an application to the instructor, stating each group member's expertise and tasks within a project.
  • If groups are not formed by students, then the Instructor/TA will help with the assigning of members to groups.
  • Groups have to be finalized by 1/31/2001.
  • A project proposal is needed (6%) on 2/14/01.
  • Mid Term project shows static effects and story-board (6%)  on 3/12/01
  • Final Project shown for internal Jury (8%) on 4/10/01
  • Final Project shown for external Jury (8%) on 4/25/01
  • Final Report (including details of  individual contributions) (6%)  by Final Exam Slot.

Policies

Honor Code:
Academic Honor Code instituted by the Students of Georgia Tech applies in this class.
Collaboration:
The critiques HAVE TO BE DONE ON YOUR OWN WITHOUT ANY COLLABORATION.
Projects are in teams.  Each member will need to justify their contribution to the final project.
Reports:
All written material will be submitted electronically in HTML format and will be put up on the WWW pages for this course. If for some reason you object to this please see the instructor.
Late Policy:
 
Everything is due electronically the date assinged. Each student is allowed 2 days of extension throughout the term for ASSIGNMENT #1 and #2.  No EXTENSION for Final Project. A Student may choose to use the day of extension by informing the TA for the specific assignment.  Once used, a student has no more extensions.  Students are responsible for keeping track of their extensions days used.
 
Nothing will be accepted after the deadline, if extension days are used up and the grade of "F" will be assinged to that project.

WWW/Email

  • Most of the class will extensively use the WWW.  The schedule and the lecture notes will be made available off the CLASS HOME page.  All reports and student submissions are required in WEB readable format.  Further information on that will be provided.
  • Email will be the primary form of communication after the class period.  Please make sure to inform the instructor of your permanent email address.
