• Required reading: The material for the course will be drawn from recent conferences such as SOSP, OSDI, ASPLOS, ISCA, SIGCOMM, Ubicomp, and Mobicom; and selected chapters from books on distributed systems.

• Pre-requisites: Basic issues pertaining to distributed systems, parallel programming, and parallel architectures are the expected background for this course. If you have already had CS 6210 and/or CS 6290 you should be set. If you are unsure about your background feel free to come and talk to me.
