Homework Policy
During the course of the semester, there will be approximately one programming
assignment per week, including the very first week of class.
Each program will be divided into sections, called "phases". Each phase will have a
suggested ammount of time for completion. This amount of time is by no means a guarantee
that you will be able to finish in that ammount of time, as you may not understand the
material, or may encounter some unexpected bug in your program- so do not wait until that
much time before a deadline to start! Instead, these time guidelines are intended to help
you know when you need to get help. If you are stuck on a portion of the program for
longer than the recommended time, you should definiately see your TA to get a stronger
understanding of the concepts involved prior to putting continued effort into the
assignment.
There will be a grace period after the due time. This grace period should be used to
resolve any submission issues. This time should not be used to finish programming the
assignment. No submission will be accepted after the grace period expires.
For all assignments except the very first one, you will submit all the source files (.java)
that you created to Webwork. Make sure to practice safe-submission and retrieve your
submission after you submit it to make sure all the files you thought you turned in were
there.
