CS 3911 - Design Project

GRADING

The objective of this class is for students to develop a substantial team-based software project. While the resulting software is very important for this evaluation, there is much more to software development than just coding. The grading criteria reflect these broader goals.

Presentations	Total 15%
MidTerm Presentation	5%
Final Presentation	10%

IMPORTANT NOTES about GRADING

Attendance is required at all midterm and final presentations. Unexcused absences will result in a 1/2 letter grade reduction in your final average for each missed day.
The Project Plan, Requirements, and Design Documents may be submitted for a re-grade at the end of the term. (Please check the class schedule for due dates.) The re-grade will be averaged with the original grade, and the average will be used in determining final grades.
Note that the total points avaiable for Status Reports is 15%. This means that full credit can still be achieved if a Status Report is missed, or, if all Status Reports are submitted, a small amount of extra credit will be awarded.
