Newsgroup Policy

The CS1322 newsgroups are your absolute BEST resource for questions that you need answered concerning the course, assignments, or other programming related items concerning code editors or JDK. There are 3 newsgroups provided for use in CS1322. There is one for programs, questions, and class annoucements.

The 1322 .announce newsgroup provides students with the latest and greatest information in the course. All students, enrolled in CS1322 (which includes you) are REQUIRED TO READ .ANNOUNCE EVERY DAY. Failure to read this newsgroup can possibly cause you to miss turn-in dates, annoucements about tests, extensions on assignments, etc. Make no mistake about it, if you do not read this newsgroup everyday, your performance in this course can and probably will suffer. Do not let missing an announcement on .announce keep you from getting the grade you deserve.

The three newsgroups are:

git.cc.class.cs1322.announce
git.cc.class.cs1322.program
git.cc.class.cs1322.questions

Please use the .program newsgroup to ask specific questions about homeworks and use the .questions for general course questions, comments about the class or general java questions not related to a specific homework problem.

When asking a question on the newsgroup in .program, please put the homework number in the subject for easy reference.  For example, [HW1] What files to turn in?
