- What is the issue the author is discussing? State your
answer in a neutral fashion.
- Using no more than one paragraph, give a neutral synopsis of
the author's position. Begin your answer with the author's main claim.
- What value or values do you believe underlie the author's
position
- List the reasons that the author gives for her position.
- For each reason, state whether it is itself a reason or
whether it is backed by evidence.
