CS1372 - Program Design for Engineers

Course Objectives

This course will satisfy the need of Electrical and Computer Engineering students for a second language applicable to the needs of their discipline.  It will extend the computational principles learned in CS1371 to programming in ANSI C

The text for the course will be "Problem Solving and Program Design in C" by Jeri R. Hany and Elliot B. Koffman - 5th Edition  from Addison Wesley,

ISBN 0-321-40991-4

We will use Microsoft Visual Studio 2005, for all course work and teaching. This is available to students for a free download from the Microsoft MSDNAA. Before you have access to MSDNAA, Microsoft Visual C++ Express is available from microsoft.com.  For help, see this link.

The full version of VS 2005 is accessible in the ECE labs in the Klaus building.
