Official OSCAR Description: Principles in pipelined processor design, with emphasis on the need for a close interaction between code generation and architecture.

General Description: This is an intermediate-level course, part of the Platforms Thread requirements, that follows the CS2200 course. The goal of the course is to introduce the student to the many design aspects involved in using software and hardware for rapid prototyping. We will make use of FPGA (field-programmable gate arrays) boards to implement a substantial project. Students will work in teams to create a custom-processor to be used in an simple video-game system.
