First Things First!

Have you checked whether you need to take the exam?

Here is the main page for
exam exemption passes, OR use the section-links in the table below to jump to exemption-lists for each section.

Groundrules for Final Exam

  1. Students from any section may take their exam in either session.
  2. Students may arrive late to the exam session: "last seating" arrival times are noted below, and students will be seated to take the exam if arriving by the noted time. The exam will probably not take anyone longer than 40 minutes. However, all students are encouraged to leave themselves plenty of time.
  3. The exam is closed-notes. Students may not write on the exam copy. Students may not write on any paper except their answer sheet, once they begin the exam.
  4. Instructor will grade exams on-the-spot, for those students willing to wait for an estimated final grade. No (spoken) grade is final until recorded on official web and College records.
  5. Review materials are available for downloading, or students may pick up copies outside my office, CoC 119.
  6. The exam is in three sections: 10 citations to identify publication types (just like midterm, only publications from the whole quarter), 2 points each; 10 definitions to match from a longer list of terms, 1 point each; 10 multiple choice scenarios, 1 point each; 40 points total.
