Assignments

day of this list; i.e. you can work on project 0 until the end of the evening
on Wednesday April 3.
There are many and varied student
responsibilities for this course.
Assignment Schedule And Information
Update, April 1
I have moved the due date for project zero back one day and added a
requirement that you must complete a survey on acmex. Click here for the procedure to access the survey.
We now have a turnin program working on acme. Click here for the turnin procedure.
Projects
The last part of the course will be devoted to students doing
projects. You should not feel limited by the descriptions of the
projects on this page. If you can think of your own idea for a
project, and you clear it with me, you can do that
instead. Most of these projects are just ideas from my head; they are
not very well formed and in some cases may just be bad ideas. It is
going to be to your best advantage to talk to me about any
project before going far (or waiting too long!). By the time the
code review day hits (May 13) you should not only have your
idea worked out fully, but you will need to demonstrate something
which shows what you are up to. In other words, you need a
working proof-of-concept by that point.
