Writing Assignment #4

DUE: Tuesday, May 27, at the start of class.

For this writing assignment, your task is to write a book report on a full-length book that you have read this term.

The book should have some relationship to the subject of the class. We will mention several in class, but good sources of ideas include the book review sections of Business Week and the New York Times, a good book store, and citations from the articles in the textbook. As discussed in class, you may also look at the list of book reviews found on the Dean's Home Page under "Items of Interest".

The book you read may serve as one of your resources for your term paper.

Your report should be at least five pages and should provide a readable summary of the main theme(s) of the book, and, in addition, provide your opinions about the book. You may then use this material in your term paper, but treat it as an external quotation or a source that is clearly identified. (We will discuss this in class.)
