Homework Format

1. Find a recent media story or article on the topic of the week.

2. Present an analysis of the story summarizing the point(s) that the author is trying to make and the way they are presented.
   

3. Critique the article and its coverage --- Were potential impacts discussed? Was the coverage/discussion balanced? Was the argument persuasive? Was the argument technically complete, correct, and accurate?

4. Compare what was written in the article with any relevant parts of the textbook and with your own thoughts and feelings.
   

5. Be sure to include a copy of the first page of the article if you do not attach a copy of the complete article.

6. Give a complete citation of any references used (author, title, publication, and date) in your paper.
