Description

6144 is a graduate level introduction to the design of software-intensive information systems. It covers the technical aspects of system design, such as analysis and design methods and software quality assurance. Business and organizational themes are addressed but are not the central theme of the course. 6144 is a hands-on course, involving group projects and exercises.

In addition to the usual purpose of providing a course outline, this introduction explains the educational goals of the course, my teaching philosophy, the methods employed in the course, and my expectations of you.
