Introduction

This web site is about Microsoft Visual Basic (tm) or, in short VB. In case you did know already, VB is an awesome tool for rapid application development for win32 platforms. It is used extensively by developers who do not want to go through aches and pains of writing Windows user interface code in C++ using MFC or, God forbid, writing it in pure C. You will not believe how much of a drag it is! I can't believe there are some people (myself included) out there still doing it! It's like using vi when you can use emacs ;-). Anyway, I was not hired by Microsoft to advertize their development products, so I will stop with my "sales pitch" shortly. Let's just say, knowing VB makes you a lot more marketable these days than knowing LISP. Microsoft bred a monster known as Microsoft Windows and VB is the tool to tame it!
