All edge detection images were created using various filters described in Machine Vision by Jain, Kasturi and Schunck. These filters were convulted on the various images using the Matlab conv2 function.
The right-most image on the rows are the binary thresholded images.
The thresholds used are those used in the exmaples in text. The
threshold proved to be too low for filtered images, but was left
untouched for comparisons with the orignal in the textbook.
