1. Critiques/Summary/Commentary on Assigned Reading
   Due the day of the class at 11:00am (allowed to miss 3)
   20% of the grade
2. Mid Term Problem Set/Project
   Handed Out: April 14, 1997
   Due Back: April 30, 1997 (Class Time)
   25% of the grade
3. Final Project (Choose your own, or I will assign)
   Proposal Due: May 7, 1997 (Class Time) [5%]
   Preliminary Report Due: May 23, 1997 (9am) [5%]
   Preliminary Reprt #2 Due: May 30, 1997 (4pm) [5%]
   Final Report + Presentations June 4, 1997(Class Time) [25%]
   40% of the grade
4. Lead Discussion in Class (on a subject of your choosing or I assign)
   8% of the grade.
5. Class participation
   7% of the grade.
6. BONUS: Extra Credit work (help with the class, etc.)
   5% of the grade.

Policies

• Honor Code: Academic Honor Code instituted by the Students of Georgia Tech applies in this class.
• Collaboration:
  • The critique and summary of readings HAS TO BE DONE ON YOUR OWN WITHOUT ANY COLLABORATION. I am looking for insight here, not a rewrite of the abstract/conclusions.
  • Discussions on projects and problem sets is allowed, however, the solutions to the problems sets and projects have to be done individually. In case of discussions in groups, please specify to me who were the members of the group that came to the submitted solutions.
  • Final prject can be done as a team of two (after approval from me), however I need a detailed write-up plus an explaination of who did what.
• Late Policy:
  • Critiques/Summaries/Commenatary:
    • You are allowed to miss 3 of these for the entire quarter.
    • These will be submitted via the WWW. The last touch date will be used to measure whan it was done.
  • Absolutely NO extension on mid term project and final project.
  • Each day of late submission drops 1 letter grade.
• Reports: All written material will be submitted electronically in HTML format and will be put up on the WWW pages for this course. If for some reason you object to this please see the instructor.
• Grade Metrics: A+ = 100%, A=95%, A-=90%, B+=85%, B=80%, B=75%, C=70%, D=60%
