Traditionally, a course tends to be recreated every time a new professor or a new quarter rolls around. This sometimes allows professors to tailor the material to their own interests or styles. More often than not, a lot of effort is spent recreating what someone has already figured out in the past. Technology has allowed us the means to store the efforts of past instructors and teaching assistants. This session is designed to explore some of the issues with keeping a course for posterity. What should get saved and what shouldn't? How do you leave a record for the next TA or instructor?
