Melody Moore is the director of the Open Systems Lab in the
College of Computing at
Georgia Tech, which includes teams performing research in the area of
Software Transition, including User Interface Migration, Reengineering
technologies, Open Systems communications and Operating Systems, and
Distributed Heterogeneous Databases. She also provides training and
consulting in the area of Client-Server architectures and migration.
Ms. Moore's current research focus is in reengineering and transitioning legacy systems from centralized systems to client-server environments, focusing on Graphical User Interface modeling and development. Prior to Tech, Ms. Moore worked for 9 years in industry working with real-time embedded systems, operating systems, and compilers. She has taught Ada and real-time programming nationally for the last 10 years.
