My resume

I am a graduate student with the College of Computing at Georgia Tech. My primary area of interest is Networking. I graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur in 1996, with a B.Tech. in Computer Science. I used to have a page that was filled with lots more info on me, but I gathered not many people were interested in my auto-biography (yet) :), so I switched to this more academic looking page. If you really want to know me, visit here.

I am presently working on Large Scale Virtual Environments (LSVEs) with Dr. Mostafa Ammar and Dr. Christophe Diot. My interest lies primarily in studying the group management issues related to highly interactive applications on the Internet. During the past year I also worked with Dr. Ken Calvert on Secure Architecture for Home Networks. Check out the cool work being done in the Home Information Infrastructure Lab.

I spent last summer at INRIA, Sophia, Antipolis with the RODEO group. French Rivierra seems to be inspiring in more ways than one. Check out some of the really interesting work on internet conferencing done at INRIA.

Outside the school, my interests include travelling, hiking/backpacking, rock climbing, playing squash, swimming, whitewater rafting and now nature photgraphy. Between all this, I am also a DJ at WREK Atlanta 91.1 FM, the Georgia Tech radio station.
Check out Himalayan Mix on Mondays 11pm for some cool music from the Indian subcontinent. To listen to last week's program, go here. You will need the realaudio player for this.
