More on what you use the Middle Mouse Button for - context-sensitive menus

This button is used to perform operations in the Smalltalk environment. The menus that appear here are context specific. Namely only operations that you can perform in the context that the mouse is in appear here. If you want to do something, then it is likely that you need to select something off of this menu.
