directions geared toward user - OK
supporting information (screen dumps, access to prototype) - not shown. Would make things a little easier if you showed what the user would see after each important step.
clarity - From your directions, I think there are three locations of interest that need to be defined in your instructions: Fridge location (just runs browser), Message server (holds all of the set-up html files and is a Web server to which the owner of the message board has write privilege for CGI directory), and Message origination location (this can vary, but it runs a browser that enables someone to post a message to the Fridge). Making these locations a bit clearer in your instructions will help.
