Getting Started
- Go to the URL for the To-Do list manager you are using. For example,
http://www-int.cc.gatech.edu/projects/scooby2bedue/ which is the one the
on which Scooby2bedue development team uses.
- Login (all login information must correspond to your account on the server
on which the To-Do list is running).
- Click in the text field next to "User Name:" and enter your user name.
- Click in the text field next to "Password:" and enter your password.
- Click the "Login" button (and be patient, Java is slow).
Using the To-Do List Manager
- Managing Items
- Saving
- Undoing Changes:
- If you want to undo a change to an item, change items or modes and click "No" in the Confirm dialogue box.
- Changing Sort Orders:
- Click and drag on the respective Sort box to the new order key. Note: Primary Sort takes precedence. You can change the primary to use the secondary key, but not vice versa. Please note: Any ties are broken by an implicit alphabetical sort.
- Managing Groups
- Click the "Groups..." button
- To Add a Group:
- Click in the text field next to "New Group:"
- Enter the name of the group
- Click "Add"
- To Delete a Group:
- Select the group you want to delete in the box next to "Delete Group:"
- Click the "Delete" button
- Click "Yes" in the confirmation window
- Click "Done" when you are done adding/deleting groups
- Logging out of the ToDo list manager: (either of the following steps)
- Quit Netscape.
- If you do not want to quit Netscape:
- Re-enter the URL in the location box in the Netscape toolbar or use the bookmark for it.
- If you want to disconnect from the server completely click cancel when the Login Dialogue box pops up.
- Known Problems with the ToDo List manager:
- Tab does not work reliably to go from one field to the next. This is a
Java limitation, not a problem of ours.
- WARNING: BE PATIENT. All interactions with the ToDo manager have some
sort of visual cue to let you know when they have completed. Doing
anything to the applet (including resizing Netscape's window) is very
likely to cause the java interpreter to FAIL.
