Choose at least 3 papers from our reading list which cover a coherent subject (suggestions for materials not in the list are welcome - talk to one of us). Write a critical discussion (on the order of 4000 words) of the issues and approaches of the papers. Discuss the common themes found in the papers, as well as differences. Assess the papers, and justify your praises and criticisms. Try to compare / contrast these issues with the topics we have covered in the lecture. Include a brief (a few hundred words) summary of each of the three papers.
Where do you see are the major differences in approach - between the papers / between the papers and the approach taken in the course? Can you identify major strengths and weaknesses of the approach taken in the papers? Does the approach uncover major problems in how we treated the subject of visualizing the Internet during the course?
The term paper is due by 5pm on June 5.
