Local ATM Configuration
Switches
The current ATM network configuration consists of two ForeRunner
ASX200 switches, one in the MiRC Networking lab (ding,
130.207.19.241), and the other in the CoC networking lab (dong,
130.207.19.242). Each switch is connected to four Sparcstations
through OC/3 UTP cable. The switches themselves are inter-connected
through two(?) OC/3 Multimode fiber links. The ATM network is mapped onto the
130.207.19 IP subnet. All Sparcs on the ATM network have two
network interface cards, one is the Ethernet interface card which
provides access to the 130.207.8 subnet, and the other is FORE SBA200e
which provides access to the 130.207.19 subnet.

All of the machines currently run SunOS 4.1.3, along with
the ForeThought NIC software (version 3.0.3_1.5). The ASX200s run Fore
software version 3.4.2.
Software Location
The root directory for the Fore software is /net/at1/fore.new/fore.
The subdirectories of most interest will be the man pages (man),
the include files (include/fore_atm), and the Fore-supplied examples
(examples). Note that the examples are not well written, and
the "null" versions do not work with our versions of the NICs.
