Scenario 1
The customer has a letter or small parcel which already has the requisite
amount of postage attached to it.
User background: The background of the user is assumed to be the same as
that described in the section on Users Evaluation.
User goals: The goal of the user in this scenario is to obtain the proper
postage for the package, with the eventual intent of mailing the package.
Evaluation of scenario: The user may be erroneously using the TURBOMail
system, since postage has already been affixed to the parcel. After evaluating
the user's parcel, the system will prompt the user if he would like to purchase
postage for the parcel. At this point, the user would therefore indicate that
he would not like to purchase postage, and the package will be returned to the
user.
A second possibility is that the user wished to verify sufficient postage for
the package. After the evaluation, the amount of postage required is displayed
on the screen. If the user has insufficient postage, he may elect to purchase
the difference using the stamp-purchasing feature.
