Scenario 3
The customer wishes to purchase stamps, for either immediate or delayed use.
User background: The background of the user is assumed to be the same as
that described in the section on Users Evaluation.
User goals: The goal of the user in this scenario is to obtain a collection of
stamps which sum to a particular amount (immediate use) or to obtain a quantity of
stamps of a particular denomination (delayed use).
Evaluation of scenario: The user in the first case would like to enter a
specific monetary value and receive a minimal (smallest number) of stamps which
equal that particular amount. The user in the second case would like to be prompted
for a particular type or denomination of stamp and a quantity required for usage.
Both users would then be required to input the required amount of money to pay for
their purchase (using a combination of coins and bills, or possibly a credit card or
banking card), with the option to cancel the transaction at any time if they have
insufficient money on hand or no longer desire postage.
