The revised project scope focuses on the interface between the user and the device at the option level; that is, the progression from screen to screen and the navigation through the interface. Other issues, such as the placement of devices (such as coin return, stamp dispenser, etc.) are not considered, except as they may impact the usability of the system (i.e. button arrangement is important). Similarly, the specific ergonomics of the system (such as the character of the auditory output, the colors used by the screen, etc.) are not considered in the scope of this project.
The task domain for the project remains the same from the initial design, with the exception of the target end users -- special needs users such as handicapped or blind users have been removed from this portion of the design, although it is likely that the system may still be adapted for their use.
