You are to use this document as a template to prepare your Part 3 report. You should personalize it with a project logo or further objects, now or later.

Remember, a clear and succinct writing style is preferred. A long document does not impress me.

The team that produced the prototype and evaluation plan will be referred to as the Development team and the team executing the evaluation plan will be called the Evaluation team. To assist the Evaluation team in carrying out this part of the project, the Development team will nominate one member to act as consultant to the Evaluation team. It is expected that the consultant will assist the Evaluation team in understanding the prototype and getting it properly installed for evaluation. Therefore, the consultant will not be expected to play such a great role in evaluation for his or her own project team.

A note about this document. The final evaluation document will appear in the notebook for the Development team. Therefore, the look of the document should correspond to the look of the Development team's documents. The consultant can assist with this.

Project Description

Write a one page description of the project you have selected. Discuss the general area of application, intended tasks it will support, and the intended user population.

This can be copied from the Part 2 report.

Carried over from Part 2 report as well.

Results of the evaluation

Summarize the results of the three evaluation exercises to indicate how the design criteria were or were not met by the prototype. You should separate the results into three sections, one for each evaluation exercise.

Overall evaluation and Recommendations

Summarize the results of the three evaluation exercises to indicate how the design criteria were or were not met by the prototype.

Summarize changes to the prototype that are warranted by the results of the evaluations.

Critique of Evaluation Plan

In the previous section you provided a critique of the prototype. In this section, I want the evaluation team to prepare a critique of the actual evaluation plan that was provided by the development team. The purpose of this critique is both to help me assess the development team and to help you understand how you could have improved your evaluation plan by seeing what was good or bad about another team's plan.

Here are the main points I want you to address in your critique:

Was the evaluation plan clearly defined? Could you carry out the three evaluation tasks based on your knowledge of the evaluation technique and the additional input from the development team, or did you have to consult the development team further to clarify what they wanted you to do? If there were any problems with the specific evaluation tasks requested, please make some concrete and constructive suggestions as to how things could have been improved.
Was there a clear relationship between the evaluation tasks and the criteria that were supposed to be the reason for carrying out the evaluation plan? That is, was it easy or difficult to link the results of the evaluations to the criteria highlighted in the Part 2 report? If you think things could have been better, please state how.
