Homework Assignment
Due Tuesday, September 29
Critiquing a project
One of the skills you are trying to learn in this class is how to
constructively critique an interface. For this assignment, I
am asking you to take a look
at a portion of a previous 6751 project and give me a critique, in
writing,
of what you think of the prototype proposed and whether it will meet
its design criteria.
The prototype you are to look at is the A.B.O.W.D.
team's prototype of an electronic shopping assistant.
In preparing your critique, you should focus on answering the
following questions:
- Does the prototype meet its stated design goals? You can find
those goals made explicit in the design
criteria section of the document.
- Are these design criteria the appropriate one's for this proposed
product?
- What are some constructive suggestions you would make to the team
for redesigning their prototype?
Provide justification for your answers to these questions.
Prepare your critique using some word processor and be ready to hand
it in at the beginning of class on Tuesday.
