CS 7390 -- Software Visualization

Winter 1998

Final Project

Due Monday March 9, 1998

For a final project for our Software Visualization class, you will put together some type of more ambitious software visualization system or effort. This can be done as a group (maximum of 3 people) or as an individual. It is expected that groups will do more---all members of a group will be judged equally. Consider all the systems and topics we have studied during the quarter and come up with something interesting. Possible projects include sophisticated algorithm animation suites, tailored Polka view libraries, data structure display tools, a virtual reality software visualization library, 3D program visualizations, a system for debugging with audio, an information visualization of some domain, visualizations of Java program executions, etc... Be creative!

A project plan (one pager) is due on February 16th. You can deviate from this somewhat as your project develops, but it should be close. Demos of the different projects will be done in class on March 9th and 11th. You're encouraged to come up with a good presentation for your project.
