Important Dates for New Software Engineering Faculty and Researchers Symposium

Goal and Scope

The New Software Engineering Faculty and Researcher Symposium is a forum for Software Engineering researchers who received a PhD degree recently or expect to receive a PhD degree shortly. The symposium will include presentations by leading academic and industrial researchers, who will provide guidance and advice on such issues as: building a successful research program, selecting publication venues, the benefits and drawbacks of interdisciplinary research, ethical concerns that arise, networking strategies, professional service opportunities, mentoring graduate students, and strategies for balancing career demands and a personal life.
